Softball Game Preview: Shenendehowa Plainsmen vs. Massapequa Chiefs

The Shenendehowa Plainsmen will square off against the Massapequa Chiefs at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Shenendehowa is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.

Shenendehowa is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Sunday. They beat White Plains by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Massapequa sidestepped Riverhead for a 2-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chiefs.

Shenendehowa's win bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Massapequa, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Everything went Shenendehowa's way against Massapequa in their previous meeting back in April of 2016, as Shenendehowa made off with a 22-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Plainsmen since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
