Volleyball Recap: Pueblo Central Comes Up Short

Pueblo Central lost against Rye back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats came up short against the Thunderbolts, falling 3-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-15, 25-21.

Pueblo Central's offense was headlined by Katie Purfield and Adryanna Rodriguez, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Natalie Alfonso and her 12 assists. Ashlynn Saenz controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Pueblo Central's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Rye, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6.

Coincidentally, Pueblo Central and Rye will both be playing La Veta the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Redhawks at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Thunderbolts will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
