Baseball Recap: Everglades Takes a Loss

Everglades was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-3 to the Coral Springs Colts. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 last Thursday.

Everglades saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Ramirez, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Everglades' loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Coral Springs, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Everglades will square off against Cypress Bay at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cypress Bay is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Coral Springs, they will take on Cooper City at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
