Soccer Game Preview: Westside vs. Braxton County

The Westside Renegades will venture away from home to take on the Braxton County Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Westside is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Mingo Central on Thursday. The Renegades fell just short of the Miners by a score of 1-0. Westside have struggled against Mingo Central recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Braxton County kept a clean sheet against Williamstown last Saturday. They put the hurt on the Yellowjackets with a sharp 6-0 win. Fans of Braxton County have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

They hit Williamstown with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Zack McQuain (3), Peyton Sharp (2), and Josh Anderson.

Braxton County's victory bumped their record up to 19-0. As for Westside, their loss dropped their record down to 0-16.
