Basketball Recap: Stratford Academy Starts Season with Victory at Home

Stratford Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 53-22 win over the Mary Persons Bulldogs. The team accrued 44 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.

Stratford Academy found their leader in sophomore Camiyah Hudson, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Hayden Craddock, who put up seven points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Stratford Academy is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mary Persons, they will head out to challenge Houston County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
