Soccer Recap: Rockmart Takes a Loss

Rockmart lost against Coahulla Creek back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Rockmart Yellowjackets lost 6-0 to the Coahulla Creek Colts. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while the Colts are ranked 176th).

Rockmart's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Coahulla Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockmart will face off against Union County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Rockmart has given up an average of 6 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Coahulla Creek, they will take on Murray County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Coahulla Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.
