Recap: Winnfield Tigers vs. Many Tigers
The Winnfield Tigers waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They blew past Many 80-54. Given Winnfield's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while Many is ranked 290th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Winnfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cl Davis, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylon Jackson, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Winnfield is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Many, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winnfield will take on Mansfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Many, they will head out on the road to take on Lakeview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeview will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
