It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bishop Ludden had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Jordan-Elbridge Eagles by a score of 3-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Gaelic Knights, who have now won five matches in a row.

Bishop Ludden had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-20, 25-17, 25-17.

Among those leading the charge was Gianna DiNiro, who had 13 digs and one assist. Those 13 digs gave her a new career-high.

Bishop Ludden was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in five consecutive matchups.

Bishop Ludden's win bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Jordan-Elbridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

As of now, neither Bishop Ludden nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
