Football Recap: Western Harnett Eagles vs. Pine Forest Trojans

Western Harnett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Pine Forest Trojans 61-14. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 366th, while the Trojans are ranked 132nd).

Despite the loss, Western Harnett still got an impressive performance from A.J. Manning, who rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. Western Harnett will challenge Overhills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Overhills is coming into the contest with three straight wins on the road, so Western Harnett will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Pine Forest, they will take on Terry Sanford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
