Basketball Game Preview: Tipton Tigers vs. West Branch Bears

The Tipton Tigers will challenge the West Branch Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Branch took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Tipton, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Tipton challenged Lisbon on Saturday. Tipton walked away with a 49-37 victory over Lisbon. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Lions are ranked 247th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, West Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-41 heartbreaker at the hands of Wilton.

The win made it two in a row for Tipton and bumps their season record up to 14-6. As for West Branch, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.

Tipton strolled past West Branch when the teams last played back in January by a score of 52-37. Will Tipton repeat their success, or does West Branch have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
