It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Niceville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past the Fort Walton Beach Vikings 5-4. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Briana Noles was excellent, going 2-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Anabelle Shackelford, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Niceville's record is now 10-5. As for Fort Walton Beach, their record now sits at 13-7.

Coming up, Niceville will take on Muhlenberg County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Walton Beach, they will face off against South Walton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Seahawks have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
