Dynamic duo of Dabrianna Pharr and Kynlee Dextraze lead South Rowan to victory

Recap: South Rowan Raiders vs. Lake Norman Charter Knights

The South Rowan Raiders came into Friday's match having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 50-40 win over Lake Norman Charter on Friday. This was payback for South Rowan, who suffered a 53-48 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Leading South Rowan to victory were Dabrianna Pharr and Kynlee Dextraze. Pharr scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Dextraze dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pharr has scored all season. Avery Fisher was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Lake Norman Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Abby Courtney. Despite the final result, she scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Courtney is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lucy Courtney, who scored seven points along with four steals.

South Rowan's victory bumped their record up to 4-17. As for Lake Norman Charter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Rowan will challenge West Rowan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Rowan will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something South Rowan surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lake Norman Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Cabarrus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
