Soccer Game Preview: Elizabethton vs. Tennessee

The Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones are taking a road trip to challenge the Tennessee Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Elizabethton took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over Sullivan East. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Elizabethton considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

They hit Sullivan East with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Connor Blevins (2), Drake Teague (2), and Reece Vernon.

Meanwhile, Tennessee kept a clean sheet against Sullivan East on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 3-0 victory. Tennessee might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by three goals or more this season.

The win got Elizabethton back to even at 5-5-2. As for Tennessee, they now have a winning record of 5-4-1.
