Volleyball Recap: Sherrard's Undefeated Season over After 14 Games

Sherrard was the 2-0 winner over Riverdale when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell 2-0 to the Rams on Tuesday. The loss was the Tigers' first of the season.

Sherrard was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Riverdale work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Sherrard still got an impressive performance from Adalynn Elsbury, who had 18 digs and seven blocks.

Kamryn Kruger was the offensive standout of the game as she had ten digs and three aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six matchups.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sherrard fell to 12-1-1. As for Riverdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Sherrard is set to challenge their familiar foe Monmouth-Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Riverdale will face off against rival Mercer County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
