University Christian barely beat Providence School the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Christians breezed past the Stallions to the tune of 34-7 on Friday. Given the Christians' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Stallions are ranked 289th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jon Asbey had a dynamite game, rushing for 117 yards and three TDs on only nine carries.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something University Christian proved: they limited Providence School to a paltry -0.5 yards per carry. While three picked up at least seven total tackles, Geedarious Thomas stood above the rest. He picked up two sacks and made seven total tackles (6.0 for loss). University Christian didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.9.

University Christian's defense also made the game a nightmare for Jake Contner, racking up eight sacks. It was truly a group effort as Fred Gooden, Zion Davis, and Thomas picked up two apiece. Thomas also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven.

University Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Providence School, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-5.

University Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 35-22 win against Key West on the 30th. As for Providence School, they have also already played their next matchup, a 42-10 defeat against Bishop Kenny on the 30th.
