Softball Recap: United Comes Up Short

United was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 8-4 to the Laredo LBJ Wolves. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Aubrey Woods was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs.

United's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15-1. As for Laredo LBJ, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. United will welcome Alexander at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. United is facing Alexander at the right time seeing as Alexander is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Laredo LBJ, they will host United South at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
