Baseball Recap: Grove Ridgerunners vs. Vinita Hornets
Grove waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Vinita Hornets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-1 last Monday.

Walker West made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Grove's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-7 when he doesn't).
