Softball Recap: Firestone Comes Up Short

Firestone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 9-2 to the Ravenna Ravens.

Firestone's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Ravenna, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Firestone will host Shaker Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Raiders have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Ravenna, they will venture away from home to take on Coventry at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
