Football Recap: Evanston Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Evanston extended their losing streak to six on Saturday, dropping them down to 1-6. They took a blow against the New Trier Trevians, falling 35-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildkits have suffered against the Trevians since October 11, 2019.

Despite the loss, Evanston still got an impressive performance from Sean Hopson, who rushed for 134 yards.

As for New Trier, they now have a winning record of 4-3. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their seven-point performance the game before.

Jackie Ryder continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 280 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, while also rushing for 31 yards and one TD. His passing game has become a key predictor of New Trier's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.

Coming up, Evanston will take on Deerfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildkits will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.14 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
