Johnson County came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Hancock Central Bulldogs 59-38. With that win, the Trojans brought their scoring average up to 50.1 points per game.

Johnson County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ziyah Lewis out in front who posted 18 points and seven boards. Lewis has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was S'Riyah Bostick, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Hancock Central's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Key'Nya Scott, who put up 11 points along with six boards and three steals. Neela Lamar was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Johnson County pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points over those games. As for Hancock Central, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 12-7.

Johnson County has already played their next matchup, a 55-28 victory against Wilkinson County on the 7th. Hancock Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
