Basketball Recap: West Bend East Takes a Loss

West Bend East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were dealt an 86-51 defeat at the hands of the Nicolet Knights. The Suns were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-25.

Nicolet got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was David Bolden out in front who went 8-for-16 en route to 19 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Bolden has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Edward Bullock iii, who went 8-for-11 to rack up 17 points and six boards.

West Bend East's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Nicolet, they pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, it'll be Eastside v. Westside when West Bend East and West Bend West meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nicolet, they will challenge Slinger at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Nicolet's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
