Recap: Caurus Academy vs. Orme Warriors
Caurus Academy's's game on Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They strolled past Orme with points to spare, taking the game 56-41. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Caurus Academy considering their 13-point performance the matchup before.
Orme's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Preston Tisi, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Owen Rudolph , who scored 13 points.
Caurus Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Orme, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caurus Academy will take on New Way Learning Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orme, they will head out on the road to face off against Wickenburg Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wickenburg Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Orme likes a good challenge.
