Softball Recap: William Byrd Has No Trouble Against Fleming

While William Byrd put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Fleming. The Terriers put the hurt on the Colonels with a sharp 12-0 victory. The contest marked the Terriers' most dominant win of the season so far.

William Byrd's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-8. As for Fleming, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. William Byrd will venture away from home to challenge Northside at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Terriers are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Fleming, they will head out to take on Staunton River at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colonels will need to watch out since the Golden Eagles have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
