Softball Recap: Roscommon Comes Up Short

Roscommon extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 15 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-4 in the process. They came up short against the Beal City Aggies, falling 21-1. If the Bucks were looking for revenge after losing 22-0 to the Aggies when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Beal City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

For Beal City's part, they let Macy Johnston and Dakota Dodak run wild. Johnston went 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double, while Dodak went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Johnston has posted over her last nine contests. Another player making a difference was Emily Taylor, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

While Roscommon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
