Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trego to victory, but perhaps none more so than Makenna Flax, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Flax has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Smith, who scored 16 points along with four steals.
Trego's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Thomas More Prep-Marian, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Trego won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ellis at 2:30 p.m. on January 20th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Ellis is ranked 105th, while Trego is ranked 113th). As for Thomas More Prep-Marian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Great Bend. Great Bend will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
