Softball Recap: St. Catherine's Has No Trouble Against Shoreland Lutheran

After having lost a blowout in their previous game, St. Catherine was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Shoreland Lutheran Pacers 12-2. This was a revenge game for the Angels: when they faced off against the Pacers last Tuesday, they had to take a 25-18 loss.

Anika Munoz was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Munoz was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Sici Lopez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Aniyah Price was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

St. Catherine's kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits every time they've taken the field this season.

St. Catherine's now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Shoreland Lutheran, they moved to 3-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
