Soccer Recap: Weeki Wachee Takes a Loss

Weeki Wachee pushed their score to six the last time they played Crystal River, but on Tuesday they couldn't quite do it again. The Weeki Wachee Hornets fell 2-0 to the Crystal River Pirates. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Weeki Wachee dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Crystal River, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weeki Wachee will head out to challenge Fivay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Weeki Wachee is facing Fivay at the right time seeing as Fivay is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Crystal River, they will venture away from home to take on Dunnellon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Crystal River will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: Dunnellon will have lost three straight heading into Thursday's contest.
