Volleyball Recap: Valley Takes a Loss

Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Delta Panthers. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Panthers when the teams met back in November of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Meagan Jolley paced Valley's offense, picking up seven kills. Jolley were helped by Jade Nevarez and Chloe French, who contributed eight assists each. Laurissa Richards controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Delta, their victory bumped their record up to 5-16.

Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Battle Mountain on the 1st. As for Delta, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Coal Ridge on the 1st.
