Volleyball Game Preview: Castle View Sabercats vs. Rampart Rams

Castle View is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Rampart is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Sabercats will welcome the Rams at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Castle View made easy work of Regis Jesuit and carried off a 3-0 win.

Castle View never let Regis Jesuit on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-15, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Rampart got the win against Lutheran on Saturday by a conclusive 3-0.

Rampart not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Lutheran between 17 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 25-17.

Rampart found their leader in freshman Zac Hansen, who had 11 digs and four assists. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Hansen.

Castle View has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for Rampart, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
