Plainfield entered their tilt with Northview on Monday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Knights  a   4-0 shutout. The Quakers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.
Not much got past  Sidney Parks, who gave up just  a  hit and racked up 17 Ks to keep Northview off the board. Those 17  strikeouts set a new season-high mark for  Parks.
 At the plate,  Belle Steele was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run. Another player making a difference was  Kylie Fish, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run.
Plainfield pushed their record up to 14-1 with the  victory, which was their 12th straight  on the road dating back to last season. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Northview, they now  have a losing record of 6-7.
 Plainfield wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  matchup,  an  11-0  victory against Decatur Central on the 30th. As for Northview, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  2-0  win against North Putnam on the 30th.
