Basketball Recap: Franklin Finds Home Court Redemption Against Cochranton

There's no place like home for Franklin, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They strolled past the Cochranton Cardinals with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 76-60. The Knights pushed the score to 62-39 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cardinals cut but never quite recovered from.

Will Findlan was his usual excellent self, putting up 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jameson Wofford, who posted 15 points.

Despite the loss, Cochranton still got an impressive performance from Walker Carroll, who went 10 of 19 on his way to 27 points and four steals. That was a full 45% of Cochranton's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Brady Rynd, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards.

Franklin now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Cochranton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will venture away from home to challenge Titusville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin is facing Titusville at the right time seeing as Titusville is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Cochranton, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cochranton Cardinals take on the Maplewood Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Cochranton has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 191 points over their last three games.
