Basketball Recap: Dawson County Comes Up Short

Dawson County lost against Lumpkin County back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dawson County Tigers came up short against the Lumpkin County Indians, falling 69-49. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dawson County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Lumpkin County, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4.

Dawson County will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chestatee at 8:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Lumpkin County has already played their next matchup, a 65-54 defeat against Rabun County on the 14th.
