Recap: Boothbay Seahawks vs. Oak Hill Raiders
The Boothbay Seahawks were the 55-43 winner over the Oak Hill Raiders when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Boothbay received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 52-37 to Oak Hill. Boothbay has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Boothbay's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Luke Morley, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three blocks, and Finn Harkins who scored ten points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Morley posted two or more blocks.
Boothbay struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Boothbay has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Oak Hill, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boothbay will take on Madison at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oak Hill won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Poland at 2:30 p.m. on January 20th. Poland is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
