Soccer Recap: The Vanguard School Plays to a Tie

For the first time this season, The Vanguard School was forced to settle for a draw. They and the Banning Lewis Academy Stallions finished up their match with a 3-3 draw on Thursday. The outcome might've been different if Olivia Baker hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited her ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

The Vanguard School hit Banning Lewis Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Elsy Calderon, Juliet Crowe, and Madison Baker.

The Vanguard School's draw gives them a new season record of 4-4-1. As for Banning Lewis Academy, they moved theirs to 4-2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Vanguard School will face off against St. Mary's at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Banning Lewis Academy, they will challenge Fountain Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
