Simon Kenton typically has all the answers at home, but  on Friday Highlands proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Pioneers 11-2. The Bluebirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by six  runs or more this season.
Highlands got a great performance from  Garrett Wiggins as he  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits (and only one walk). Wiggins has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Brooks Hendrix was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with three  runs, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was  Jake Robinson, who  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and one  run.
 Highlands  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Simon Kenton only managed four  hits.
The  win made it two in a row for Highlands and  bumps their season record up to 22-10-2. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Simon Kenton, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 16-10-3.
As of now, neither Highlands nor the Pioneers have any future games scheduled.
