Softball Recap: Richland Comes Up Short

Richland and North Creek squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Richland had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 3-2. The matchup marked the Bombers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Ali Evans spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Richland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Brannon, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Richland's loss dropped their record down to 24-3. As for North Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 26-5 record this season.

Richland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Creek has already played their next matchup (against Skyline), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
