Volleyball Recap: Tennessee School for the Deaf Vikings vs. Washburn Pirates

Tennessee School for the Deaf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Washburn Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-0, 25-6.

Washburn can attribute much of their success to Kylie Ferguson, who had 19 aces and nine digs. The dominant performance also gave Ferguson a new career-high in aces.

Tennessee School for the Deaf's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Washburn, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-14.

Tennessee School for the Deaf will stay at home for another game and welcome Arkansas School for the Deaf at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Washburn, they are on the road again on Monday to play Claiborne at 5:00 p.m. Washburn is facing Claiborne at the right time seeing as Claiborne is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
