Basketball Game Preview: Atlantic Coast Stingrays vs. Andrew Jackson Tigers

Atlantic Coast and Andrew Jackson are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The Atlantic Coast Stingrays will head out on the road to take on the Andrew Jackson Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Wednesday, Atlantic Coast had to suffer through a 54-17 loss at the hands of Ribault. While losing is never fun, the Stingrays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Trojans are ranked 44th).

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Andrew Jackson's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 72-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ribault.

Andrew Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Atlantic Coast, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.

Atlantic Coast skirted past Andrew Jackson 66-64 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Atlantic Coast since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
