Softball Recap: North Oldham Takes a Loss

After flying high against Sacred Heart on Tuesday, North Oldham came back down to earth. The Mustangs took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oldham County Colonels on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 8-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

ADDLEY BECKER (2030) was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was PALMER WHITE (2030), who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

North Oldham's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Oldham County, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coming up, North Oldham will square off against Franklin County at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Oldham County, they will take on Bryan Station at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Defenders' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Colonels' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
