Baseball Recap: Woodland Comes Up Short

Woodland fell victim to Morrison and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 12-0 to the Morrison Wildcats. The Cougars' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Woodland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trey Bennett, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Morrison, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Woodland Cougars face off against Barnsdall Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Morrison, they will take on Mulhall-Orlando at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
