Football Recap: Conotton Valley Piles Up the Points Against Brownsville

The Conotton Valley Rockets really took it to the Brownsville Falcons for the full four quarters, racking up a 46-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won three contests by 28 points or more so far this season.

Conotton Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamden Wright, who picked up 122 receiving yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 52 yards on only five carries. Those 122 receiving yards gave Wright a new career-high. Gavin Haney was another key player, gaining 111 total yards and four touchdowns.

Conotton Valley now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Brownsville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conotton Valley will challenge Bridgeport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brownsville, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Carrick at 1:00 p.m. on October 4.
