Baseball Recap: Smiths Station Takes a Loss

Smiths Station managed to slip by Opelika the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers lost 13-1 to the Bulldogs on Thursday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Smiths Station has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-18 record this season. As for Opelika, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.
