White River put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Auburn Riverside Ravens by a score of 72-59. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Ravens are ranked 280th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Auburn Riverside's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leroy Kinnay, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 15 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Kinnay is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Chambo, who posted nine points and five boards.

White River pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.7 points per game. As for Auburn Riverside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

White River wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 93-89 defeat against North Thurston on the 27th. As for Auburn Riverside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-58 loss against Graham-Kapowsin on the 27th.
