Soccer Game Preview: Chavez vs. Wasco

The Chavez Titans will venture away from home to face off against the Wasco Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Chavez's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Chavez is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Delano on Thursday. The Titans fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that Chavez have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Wasco can bid farewell to their three-match losing streak thanks to their match on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Kennedy a 3-0 shutout.

Chavez has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-9-3 record this season. As for Wasco, the victory was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 2-7-2.

Chavez suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Wasco in their previous meeting back in January of 2025. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
