Football Recap: Coupeville Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Coupeville extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They came up short against the Cedar Park Christian Eagles, falling 31-7. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Chase Anderson threw for 85 yards on six of 14 attempts. Malachi Somes was his top target, picking up 49 receiving yards. On the ground, Liam Blas rushed for 63 yards.

As for Cedar Park Christian, their record now sits at 3-1. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won three matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.

Lyal Viers was his usual excellent self, picking up 65 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 101 yards and one TD on only ten carries. Tre Samuelu was another key player, throwing for 189 yards and three touchdowns on only 18 passes.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coupeville will face off against Friday Harbor at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Wolves their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Cedar Park Christian, they will square off against Sultan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Turks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
