The East Lyme Vikings will challenge the Woodstock Academy Centaurs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (East Lyme 3.5, Woodstock Academy 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Wednesday, East Lyme needed a bit of extra time to put away Waterford. They came out on top against the Lancers by a score of 6-3.

Nick Cambi was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Cooper Siragusa was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Woodstock Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Maloney on Saturday and fell 5-4.
Logan Coutu was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in March.
At the plate, Tanner Graham was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Matthew Hernandez, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
East Lyme pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Woodstock Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
Woodstock Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: East Lyme hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. It's a different story for Woodstock Academy, though, as they've only averaged .225. Will they be able to contain East Lyme's hitters?
East Lyme skirted past Woodstock Academy 5-4 in their previous meeting back in April. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Centaurs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
