Ottawa not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 19th (when they won 13-3). They were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Coal City Coalers. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 11-6 victory the Coalers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

The win made it two in a row for Ottawa and bumps their season record up to 16-10. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Coal City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-11.

Coming up, Ottawa will welcome Sandwich at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Coal City, they will face off against Pontiac at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Coalers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
