Basketball Recap: Camas County Mushers vs. Dietrich Blue Devils
After flying high against Richfield last Tuesday, Camas County came back down to earth. The Camas County Mushers fell 71-60 to the Dietrich Blue Devils on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Mushers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 32nd).
Several Mushers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Clancy Rablin, who went 8 for 19 on his way to 19 points and eight boards. Rablin has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Quinn Palan was another key player, going 9 of 17 en route to 18 points.
Even though they lost, Camas County was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Chase Norman was his usual excellent self, putting up 25 points for Dietrich. Another player making a difference was Corrd Wells, who posted 11 points.

Camas County moved to 6-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Dietrich, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Camas County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 47-36 defeat against Carey on the 21st. Dietrich has also already played their next matchup, a 63-43 loss against Rockland on the 17th.
