Baseball Recap: Plymouth Takes a Loss

Plymouth lost against Waupun on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-2 to the Warriors, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brett Shutter made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Charlie Monkoski also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Plymouth's loss dropped their record down to 8-10-1. As for Waupun, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-6.

Looking ahead, Plymouth will square off against Sheboygan North at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waupun, they will take on Winnebago Lutheran Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 3.1, the Vikings 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
