Baseball Recap: Riverton Takes a Loss

Riverton lost against Mt. Pulaski back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hawks fell 10-5 to the Hilltoppers. That's two games in a row now that the Hawks have lost by exactly five runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Riverton and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Mt. Pulaski, their win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverton will venture away from home to face off against Olympia at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mt. Pulaski, they will head out to take on Heyworth at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hilltoppers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
